Fingerprint Friday

This is my backyard. Every morning when I wake up I open the blinds and see this beautiful forrest. It is a brief moment in my day, but it reminds me that Gods creation is perfect and that his mercies are new every morning.

This post is part of Fingerprint Friday over at Pampering Beki.

Well, since my life is soooooooo exciting!

So here you go.

3. In June I will be married for 6 years to my best friend.

Boys Part 1

Me: McKay please stop putting you greasy hands all over the table. (He had just got done eating a corndog. Really healthy, I know)

McKay: But Mommy boys like to have greasy hands.

Me: I know son, but Mommy's don't like greasy hands all over the furniture. Go wash your hands, please.

McKay: Okay. He then jumps out of his chair with his hands in the air screaming, "I have greasy hands, I have greasy hands!!!" all the way to the bathroom.

I love having boys, they are so much fun!!!

The Weekend

Friday night we took the boys to Chuck E Cheese's (yes, I know we were just there last week) because McKay has been doing great with no diaper at nap time. It was a great reward, he kept saying "this is so AWESOME!" After the boys went to bed Randy and I had some alone time, (wink, wink) and then we watched the movie Nights in Rodanthe. It was okay, it is not one of those movies that you watch again.

Saturday was just a lazy day. I got up and made breakfast, ham and cheese omelets, country potatoes and toast, it was yummy!! Then I went to Target where I was forced to look around and spend money because the pharmacy was really busy, the nerve. As for the evening we had a great family dinner and playtime. After the boys went to bed we watched the Bridge to Terabithia. What a great movie!

On Sunday the boys and I went to church and the hubs barbecued. Good food and even better family time.

I love my life!!!

Oh, and I found and new map game! Go here to see how good you are at European Countries.

Delaware Where Art Thou

This afternoon I visited one of my favorite blogs Boomama. She had put a link to a interactive map of the United States. I was all, I will do great on that, well I was wrong. I played three times and each time I put Delaware in the wrong spot. Anyway, try it is fun and a little addicting.

It's Time

This precious boy will be 6 months at the end of this month, not to mention that my sister is getting married in 4 months, so with that being said, it is time for me to go on a diet. I have been putting it off for months, but waking up morning after morning and seeing the harsh reality that is my body has motived me to start. I started yesterday and I am still going strong so that is a good thing. I am doing the Weight Watchers program, using the Lose It! iPhone app and trying to exercise (which I hate). I just have to keep telling myself, "pre-pregnancy jeans, pre-pregnancy jeans," HA!!!

Family Valentines Day Extravaganza

For this Valentines I wanted to do something special that the whole family could enjoy.

I decorated our Kitchen table the night before so that the boys would wake up and see that this day is going to be special and fun.

For breakfast we made pink pancakes.

We had heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with strawberries for lunch. This was a big hit!

For dinner we had heart shaped pizza and for a special drink I made Hawaiian Punch heart shaped ice cubes with Sprite. We had a family candlelight dinner. The boys thought is was cool that they got to eat dinner in the dark.

Even bath time was themed, I dyed the bath water red with color dotz made by Crayola.

After we put the boys to bed my hubby and I had wine and chocolate covered strawberries under candlelight. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!

Thanks Whittaker Women for some great ideas. Got to her blog for more family night ideas.

Blessed and Burdened

I would first like to say that I am so blessed. I have three beautiful boys, a great husband, a wonderful family, a roof over my head and food to eat. Amongst other thinks that are all extra. With that being said I have been so burdened for others, sick children, tornado victims, and people getting laid off.

Through my blog reading I was introduced to the story of a beautiful 10 month old girl named Cora. Less than a month ago she was diagnosed with and lost her battle with Neuroblastoma Cancer. I was feeling so many emotions. I don't even know this little girl or her family but I found myself being angry and saddened by what this family was going through. I can't even imagine losing a child and yet Cora's parents in the midst of their sadness and anger have shown amazing faith and have ministered to me what is means to have an authentic relationship with God no matter the circumstances. Please go HERE to their blog and read Cora's story it will truly inspire you. Also, they are building a playground in Cora's memory. It is going to be built at the church they attend. Please click on the pink Playground for Cora link to the right and see how you can help, 100 percent of the proceeds go to help build the playground.

I really don't know why my heart has been heavy and burdened but I do know that God has told us not to worry and that he is in control. He is our provider and my hope has to be in that. In the case of Cora, they were praying that the cancer would be gone and God answered their prayers, Cora's cancer is gone and she is walking the streets of Heaven.

What have you been burdened with lately?

Brycer Bear Turns 2

My little Brycer Bear turned 2 today! I can't beleive how time flies. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hosptital. Bryce is a such a little character, I think he is going to be the next Jim Carey. He makes the cutest funny faces and he does it just to make you laugh.

So, the day went down like this:
I woke up and made Eggo waffles, which are Bryce's favorite. Nana called on skype while we were eating breakfast to wish Bryce a happy birthday. Bryce loves to talk to his Nana, Papa, Aunt Rachel and Aunt Kacey on skype. The rest of the day we just hung out, played and watched movies. Then we all went to pick up Daddy from work and went to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. The boys had a blast!!!

Here are some pictures from the day.

Side Note: I was really impressed with Chuck E Cheese's security. We all got the same number stamp when we came through the door and when we were leaving they checked all our stamps to make sure they matched and that we were leaving with only our kids. The stamp also ensures that no one else is leaving with our kids. Awesome!!!
