My Thoughts
I was so saddened watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 last night. My heart ached for the both of them. Marriage is hard enough without living in the spot light. I am not even going to try to hash out what has been going on in their marriage. What I know is that we serve a big God that can mend and heal our hearts no matter how difficult the situation may be. What a great message to their kids and to the world if Jon and Kate could show true forgiveness and love. My hope and prayer is that they choose to fight for their marriage and show the world that when you say "I DO" it is for better or worse.
Edited to add: I was reading comments on Jon & Kate's Facebook and for the most part they are uplifting and encouraging to Jon & Kate. But there are some people who are being very judgmental. We only know what we see on TV and have no idea what is real and what is in their hearts. We need to be lifting them up and praying for them not judging them. Also, when you are faced with something like this in your marriage it is very hard to deal with and the fact that some of you are saying that Kate changed and is all about the money now is not right. Jon & Kate both decided this journey for their family. They both are to blame and therefore it is not only one person's fault.

Have I mentioned that I am....
Crazy!!! A couple of months ago when we purchased our plane tickets to go home to Fresno, Ca for my sisters wedding it seemed perfectly logical that I would fly with a 4 year old, 2 year old and a 9 month old all by myself!! What was I thinking,
SERIOUSLY, WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!

My New Favorite Song
I love this song!! I love it because the season of life we are in can seem like it is going to last forever but in all reality it doesn't and we find ourselves longing to get back in the season of life we so badly wanted out of. For instance, I have 3 boys all under the age 3 (my oldest is almost 4) and there are days that I want to pull my hair out and can't wait to move out of this season of life but, the truth is I don't want them to grow up I want them to be my babies forever. I know that when they are all teenagers I am going to miss the season of life I am in right now.
If you are a mommy you have to watch this video. It makes me cry every time. And, what mommy doesn't like a good cry!! Ha!!

Spring Break
My parents flew in on Saturday (April 4th) and we left early Sunday morning for Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We left the house with dreams of sun, warm weather, pools, and white sand beaches.
Here we are in the car ready for our 7 hour drive.
There were some naps taken along the way.
After checking in a getting all of our stuff unloaded it was time for dinner so we walked across the street to Fudpuckers. We all ate Mother Fudpucker Burgers. (I know, I know it sounds a lot like Fud&*%$#@^) They have baby alligators on display so after dinner we went to see them. The boys thought they were cool!!!
Oh, and this one you could hold and get a picture taken for (are you ready) $10.00. I don't think so!!! Come people don't you know we are in a failing economy!!!
The next morning we all got up put on our bathing suits and sun screen and headed for the pools. Remember how I said we were dreaming of sun, warm weather, pools, and white sand beaches. Well, there were pools, white sand beaches and even sun but there was no sign of warm weather. It was cold and windy!!!
So, we did a lot of this...
There were days that we tried to pretend it wasn't cold.
Finally a nice morning. The boys played in the pool and floated down the lazy river with Papa.
Then on the last day we were there we had the most perfect day. It was 78 degrees and no wind. It was beautiful!! So we decided to take the boys down to the beach.
After the morning at the beach we took baths, showers and naps. Then we packed up the car and headed home. We got home around 2:00am. The next morning we got up and went to church. Then we had a Easter family barbecue. And, I am the worst mom ever because I didn't take any pictures of my boys on Easter. I know, I am bad!!!
We had a great time!! It was so nice to spend time with my Mom and Dad and to see the boys with their Nana and Papa. Thanks Mom and Dad for a great Spring break. I love you so much!!

Fools Day
Sick! Sick! Sick!
Sorry for the lack of bloggin lately. We have been feeling a bit under the weather. And, just when I thought we were all well McKay woke up with a fever last night. I was like, "are you kidding me? we just got over being sick!"
I am bummed because I am really looking forward to my parents coming to visit and our trip to Florida for Spring Break and don't want to bring three sick kids to the beach. So, if you all could pray for our health that would be great!!! Thanks so much!!

Update and a New Schedule
I wanted to give you all an update on my new laundry schedule. (To read the original post go here) It is fantastic!! I have been at it for a week and a half and never once was there a pile of unfolded laundry on my bedroom floor. I am done folding a putting away the clothes before lunch time. Having the schedule in place really helps with the stress and the never ending laundry. Now, I just need to get separate laundry hampers for everyone.
So, now for a new schedule, a house cleaning schedule. I usually do all my house cleaning on Thursday's, that way the house is clean for the weekend but, that makes for a pretty long cleaning day and by the end of the day I am exhausted. Since the laundry schedule has worked so well I thought I would try a schedule for cleaning the house.
Here it is:
Monday: Dusting and vacuuming
Tuesday: Kitchen and Downstairs bathroom
Wednesday: Upstairs bathrooms
Thursday: Dusting, vacuuming and mop kitchen floor.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: No cleaning, Woo Hoo!!!
I am excited to see how this schedule works and hopefully I will be done with laundry and cleaning before lunch.

Fingerprint Friday: Meet Loy
This Loy, she is a little girl we sponsor through Compassion. We have only been sponsoring her for two months and yesterday we got our first letter from her. It was so great to learn that she wanted to be a nurse and that her best friends name is Carol. By the end of the letter my eyes were filled with tears. It is so amazing, I already love this little girl so much!! God is so amazing!!!

Flip Flops
It has been lovely flip flop wearing weather here in Georgia. And let me tell you, I love me some flip-flops!! Unfortunately, I can not participate in the flip flop wearing because...
I NEED A PEDICURE!!!!
And I can not get one because of this. But, it is a sacrifice I am willing to make if it means we will be debt free and financially secure. So please, if you see me, DON'T LOOK AT MY FEET!! HA!!

Perfect Hostess Gift
My Favorite Things is one of my favorite blogs. On Fridays they always post a Do-It-Yourself project. Last Friday the DIY project was the perfect hostess gift, paper covered match boxes.
So cute and very chic!! So much better than the regular box they come in. If you want to learn how to do this, go here for the step-by-step tutorial courtesy of Creature Comforts.

Boys will be boys: Part 3 New Bookshelf
I am coping this post from my Hubs Randy. He loves to spend time with the boys doing "Boy" stuff. It was so cute because the boys kept calling the screwdrivers Tuner and Felipe and the hammer Pat. Turner, Felipe and Pat are some of the tools on Handy Many. I hope you enjoy!!
New Bookshelf
Yes! Another piece of furniture from Target that will be in house! Yay! We pretty much only shop at Target, Costco and the grocery store. We got this bookshelf a long time ago and finally I'm putting it together. This will go into the boys room for their one-million books that were on the floor or in small boxes.
The boys just love to help out Daddy with projects. (We put a desk together too!) We got out our tools (Felipe, Turner & Pat) and went to work. Oh, we did make one mistake. We put the backing on backwards. I seem to always have that one mess-up on these small projects. D'oh!
There were a few time outs given, but we still put this Bookshelf together in under 50Seconds! Seriously.... see for yourself.

Fingerprint Friday
This is my sweet Carson. He was our "oops!" When I found out I was pregnant my second son was only 9 months old. I cried for days, I just wasn't ready for another one.
Now, looking back I can't believe I cried. I can't imagine my life without him! He brings me so much joy and happiness. God created Carson and chose me to be his Mommy, and for that I am so lucky. Gods timing is perfect!

I feel the need,
the need for organization!! Why when spring comes around do we all feel the need to clean and get organized. I keep my house pretty clean and picked up, but if you open the closets you would have one of those avalanche moments. My closets are in desperate need of some organization.
So, I thought I would tackle them one at and time so the task doesn't seem so overwhelming. Where better to start than the pantry.
Before:
After:
Much better I think. We don't have much cupboard space so I have to keep some of our big appliances and Tupperware in the pantry. It feels so good to get organized.
Have I inspired you?

Laundry, Laundry, Laundry
it never ends! Laundry and I have always had a love hate relationship, I love to have nice clean clothes and I don't mind putting them in the wash and then into the dryer, the hate part comes in when they are done drying and the clothes need to be folded and put away. I can never seem to stay on top of the folding a putting away of the clothes. My old plan to tackle the laundry was to wash every time the laundry basket was full. I would also do every ones laundry together, sorted into colors, of course. I was doing laundry everyday and still having trouble getting it done in a timely manner. So, I have come up with a schedule that I think will help me stay on top of everything.
Monday: McKay and Bryce's
Tuesday: Carson and Randy's
Wednesday: Mine and towels
Thursday: Boys Sheets
Friday: Our Sheets
Saturday and Sunday: NO LAUNDRY! YEAH!
I am also going to wash each persons clothes separately so I don't have to spend so much time sorting everyone's clothes while I am folding. And because I am doing everyone's clothes separately I can fold the clothes right in their room and put them away right then and there.
I think this plan is going to be very effective and help me stay on top of my never ending laundry. I will let you know how it goes.
